Kitchen had some grime around the stove and microwave. Fifth room: Stained furniture and sheets. Floors in bathroom and kitchen were sticky. Fourth room: Smell was kinda musty and didn't ever really go away. Third room: Had the least amount of smell to it of all the rooms I stayed in. I think the smell was coming from the garbage disposal, which had crud in it. Second room: Had a slight funky smell, but it aired out within a couple hours. I ended up requesting a new room due to the smell was making me sick and making my clothes stink. This room dishes were also dirty (food bits and greasy fingerprints on them) and there was a heavy amount of grime around the stove.

After airing at the room (leaving the windows open for over 24 hours and fan on high), the smell didn't go away. First room: Had a very strong fishy top ramen smell. I've stayed in 5 different rooms now and I can tell you that they're not all created equal.
However, this hotel definetely has some issues and it surprises me how highly this hotel is rated. They're the only reason I'm giving a 3/5. The best thing about the hotel are its employees- they're very kind and helpful. The options in the Fort Hood area are pretty slim.
